而佳能方面官方至今也沒有宣布日本地震海嘯對佳能工廠產生影響的情況，只是在英文官方網站發(fā)布了佳能關注日本的災難以及全力協(xié)助救災，同時向紅十字會及其他人道救援組織捐出3億日元，并承諾進一步提供救災所需物質，全文如下：
“On March 11, a major earthquake struck off the northeast coast
of Japan’s main island of Honshu, causing massive damage and loss
of life in the area.We at Canon extend our heartfelt condolences to
all those affected by this disaster and our thoughts go out to
those suffering in its aftermath. In addition, we hope that the
region will sustain no further damage and will soon be able to
begin the rebuilding and healing process.To aid in the relief
efforts for the earthquake victims, the Canon Group is making a
donation of 300 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society and
other humanitarian aid organizations, and will provide supplies as
needed.”

所以整體上看本次災害對佳能生產所造成的影響暫時來說也是比較有限，雖然佳能自家供應相機的主要零部件，但和尼康相同的憂慮情況也很可能在后續(xù)中出現(xiàn)。
